MOUNTAINEERING PROGRAM

Introduction

The adventure program at the Indian Mountaineering Foundation campus is built for people of all age groups. It is an all inclusive program which is a combination of mountain climbing, outdoor activities, teamwork and life skills lessons. The campus is located in one of the best, safest and most beautiful neighbourhoods of New Delhi and DU South Campus on Benito Juarez Road. One of the greatest highlights of the program is the visit to the Himalayan Museum in the IMF campus. An inspirational movie of 1965 Everest Expedition is also shown to the participants.

It aims to-

  • kindle the spirit of adventure and team effort
  • Inculcate values of tolerance and non- discrimination
  • Leadership qualities.
  • Instills a healthy regard for nature and adventure activities.

If required the program can be a residential one for outstation students, with accommodation and meals provision.

  • Rope crossing/Zip line
  • Tyre Swing
  • Bouldering
  • Commando net
  • Burma bridge
  • Rope ladder
  • Crawling through tunnel
  • Cross through water
  • Tug of war
  • Fitness drills like Hurdles, Shalom poles/Cones
  • Team activities and Trust games

Every participant at the end of the session gets
