Learning Outcome
To reinforce Movement Concepts/Space Awareness/Levels
Activity Description
Dribble with hands
Eyes up
Use your fingerpads–not your fingertips
Keep the ball at your side for control
Keep the ball at waist level or lower
Keep the ball in your “foot pocket” which is done by dropping the right foot behind your left foot (right-handers). This will help control the ball and protect it from defenders
Dribble with feet
Push the ball forward gently with the inside or the outside of the foot. Alternate feet.
As you travel, keep the ball closer than your fingertips when your arm is extended.
Use peripheral vision to look at the ball as you look where you are traveling.
As you travel, match your speed to your skill. Allow students to self-monitor speed based on their ability to keep the ball close.
Underhand Throw
Face your target
Step with your opposite foot towards the target (i.e., if throwing with the right hand, a step towards the target with your left foot)
Use a pendulum arm motion with the arm you are throwing with (i.e., like you are bowling)
Follow through to the sky or ceiling with the hand you are throwing with

Learning Outcome
Students will participate in gymnastics stunts, using different parts of their bodies to balance. Students will work cooperatively with their partners on gymnastics mats to complete balancing activities.
Activity Description
Activity #5: 180 and 360 Jumps
•Directions: standing with your feet shoulder-width apart jump high into the air while turning your body 180 degrees, halfway around and land safely on your feet (facing the direction opposite from where you started). Did you do it? This is called a 180 jump turn.
•This time jump high again and turn 360 degrees, a full turn, all the way around (facing the same direction that you started) and land safely on your feet. Did you do it? This is called a 360 jump turn.
•Repeat the above and change directions, go clockwise and counterclockwise.
Activity #6: Air Chair
•Directions: Partners, facing each other, place your toes against each other, grab hands, lean back slowly and pretend to be sitting on chairs using counterbalance with your partner. Be careful – don’t fall down. How long can you hold this balance?
Activity #7: V-Stand
•Directions: partners stand side by side, feet together with your inside feet pressing against each other. Holding inside hands slowly lean away from each other forming a V. Move slowly and counterbalance with your partner. How long can you hold this balance? Turn around and try it with the other side.
Activity #8: Double Stand Back-To-Back
•Directions: partners sit down back-to-back and lock elbows, place your feet flat on the ground in front of you. On the count of three push against each other’s backs and attempt to stand up at the very same time. Then sit back down together. Turn around and try this toe-to-toe as well. This time hold hands and hook-sit toe-to-toe.

To use emojis as a fun way to get children moving and become fit.
Activity Description
So many of us use emojis to express ourselves in text messages. In this fun fitness game, I have a message behind some emojis and leave it up to you to figure out what the hidden message is. You only have 10 seconds to do so. If you do not, you will have to do the exercise of the round. Make sure to warm your muscles up and stretch before you do these exercises. https://youtu.be/vYOp3n5Ureo
